Rusted, seized bolts are the job that turns a 10-minute repair into an afternoon. The M-T CPH-01 uses high-frequency magnetic induction to heat the bolt itself — not the surrounding parts — expanding the fastener and burning out rust so it breaks free cleanly. No torch, no open flame, no heat damage to nearby paint, wiring, or plastics.
One-handed operation, super easy to use.
Why Induction Heating
- Heats the bolt, not the part — the magnetic field induces current directly in the ferrous fastener, so surrounding components stay cool
- No open flame — safe near fuel lines, wiring harnesses, and plastics where a torch is not
- Fast — small fasteners release in seconds; the bolt expands and rust turns to powder
- One-handed operation — hold the tool and work the fastener with your other hand free

Temperature Warning
Heating temperature: below 500 °C.
The recommended bolt heating range is 300–500 °C. Exceeding 550 °C may cause metal parts to anneal, directly impairing their mechanical properties. Therefore, heating below 500 °C is recommended.
Coil rule: the coil diameter must be at least 5 mm larger than the bolt diameter. An undersized coil will not couple properly and can overheat the tool.
Coil Selection Chart
| Coil diameter (mm) | 15 | 20 | 25 | 30 | 35 | 40 | 45 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Max bolt diameter (mm) | 10 | 15 | 20 | 25 | 30 | 35 | 40 |
Coils are available in U-form, round, and other shapes. The flexible tips are easy to bend to fit the work angle — bend them around bolts, studs, hoses, pipes, or other fittings.
How to Use
- Choose the right coil — diameter at least 5 mm larger than the bolt; shape that fits the access angle
- Fit the coil over the bolt — keep the coil centered on the fastener, not touching surrounding metal parts
- Power on and heat in short bursts — watch the bolt glow; 300–500 °C is enough for the rust to break down
- Remove the bolt with a wrench — while hot, the rust bond is broken and the fastener turns
- Wear gloves — the bolt and the coil both stay hot after use
Helpful Tips
- If the device is releasing constantly during operation and the indicator light changes from white to red, the temperature has reached the protection threshold and overheat protection has been activated — wait 30–60 seconds for the cooling fan, then resume.
- When using the coil, wear gloves to prevent sticking your hands to hot metal.
- Do not touch the coil or the heated bolt during and right after use.
- Never use incompatible coils — non-original parts may burn out due to parameter mismatch.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Device fails to start | Power issue | Check the power cord is fully plugged in and the outlet is working |
| Device fails to start | Switch not confirmed | Confirm the power switch is ON and the power cord is undamaged |
| Device shuts off unexpectedly | Overheat protection triggered | Wait for it to cool completely before restarting; if it triggers frequently, check for blocked vents and clean any dust |
| Low heating efficiency or no heating | Heating coil issue | Inspect the coil for damage, oxidation, or poor contact; polish contacts with fine sandpaper and reinstall |
| Low heating efficiency or no heating | Coil not connected securely | Ensure the coil is securely connected to the device ports; reseat and confirm no loose connections |
| Low heating efficiency or no heating | Induction module failure | Try replacing with a known-good coil; if it still fails, the induction module may be faulty — contact support |
| Device shuts off unexpectedly | Cooling system blocked | Clean dust and debris from vents to ensure airflow; check the fan is working |
| Coil burns out or shorts | Improper use | Do not continuously keep heating at maximum; do not use in damp or dust-heavy environments |
| Coil burns out or shorts | Incompatible parts | Use only original compatible coils |
Safety Precautions
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Unplug when not in use.
- The heating coil becomes extremely hot — never touch it during or right after operation.
- Wear heat-resistant gloves during use.
- Do not use in wet or dusty environments.
- Do not continuously operate at maximum output beyond the 10-minute duty cycle.
- Keep vents clear; the cooling fan must be able to move air.
FAQ
Q: Will it work on stainless steel bolts?
A: Induction heating works best on ferrous (magnetic) metals such as ordinary carbon steel bolts. It also works on many stainless bolts, but more slowly — stainless conducts magnetic energy less efficiently. Non-magnetic metals like aluminum will not heat.
Q: Can I use it near the fuel tank or fuel lines?
A: That is exactly one of its advantages over a torch — there is no open flame. Still, keep combustibles clear and follow normal workshop safety practice.
Q: Why did my coil burn out?
A: The two most common causes are using an undersized coil (must be at least 5 mm larger than the bolt) and non-original coils with mismatched parameters. Both are covered in the guide above.
Q: How long can I run it continuously?
A: Up to 10 minutes of continuous use, then let the unit cool. If overheat protection trips, wait 30–60 seconds for the cooling fan and resume.
Q: The bolt won’t come loose even after heating — what now?
A: Re-check that the coil diameter is at least 5 mm larger than the bolt and that the coil is centered. Penetrating oil applied before heating, then heating while the oil wicks in, gives the best result on heavily rusted fasteners.
